Since the beginning of the 21st century, the Chinese film industry gradually formed the market pattern, the number of the audience, the number of the movie screen and the box office had all reached even more than ten times the original number, these figures show that Chinese film industry is booming.The film, "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", was selected in Oscar and given quite a few awards in 2001. Since then, commercial films made in China has begun to attract the attention of audience. From then on, the situation of monopolizing by foreign films was gradually changed. Then, the "Hero", the "Kung Fu", "the world without Thieves" and other films also made a good box office results, which has changed the situation in the domestic market of too many foreign films. However, at that time, the domestic low-cost films were limited, and can not get the space to grow. But the situation changed again since "Crazy Stone" released. Domestic low-cost films began to appear in 2006, with a surprising explosive force. "Love is Not Blind", "Lost In Thailand", " Finding Mr. Right", "So Young", these films made the audience see the more approachable art. As a result, the low-cost films rise in the film market. So far, the low cost movie has become an important branch in the domestic film.The article has edited out those films unrelated to the market receipts, including some nature commercial films with high box-office. It is a armed at researching the minor films with high box-office, and meanwhile combines the low-cost dominant minor films with the public psychology, film aesthetics, film marketing and so on. In this paper, the low cost high box office movie is the research object, literature research and inductive data analysis research are used as methods, from two dimensions of internal factor and external factor, the writer analyzes the success factors of the low cost movie of the high box office. The study found that, on the film itself, the script story, the choice of subject matter, and the aesthetic value, these four elements are important factors. And from the perspective of external factors, we can see that the development of domestic films, attention to the audience psychology, the accurate evaluation made by audience and the Internet plus style have profoundly influenced the box-office of low-cost domestic films.
