Yoshisa Co.,Ltd which was founded in 1891 was the first emigration company owned by civilian capital.The setup of Yoshisa was a symbol that overseas emigration in Japan has changed from officially contracted emigration to civil contracted emigration or private owned emigration companies.Civilian owned emigration companies dominated the Japanese settlement at that time,and this played a very import role on the history of Japanese overseas emigration.These companies transported Japanese to foreign countries with the process – select,organize and transport,which released the pressure from Japanese population.The private-owned emigration companies not only meet the requirement of politics and economy,but also make great benefits,which attracted a lot of civilian capitals.This result in the large increase of number of emigration companies,and also the competition.Racut-throat competitions happened between these companies.So the government had to publish a series of policies that these companies could be merged.In 1920,Overseas Enterprise Co.,Ltd complete its merger of Morioka Co.,Ltd,which means the end of private owned emigration industry,the government was back to control the overseas emigration industry.This paper will take these emigration companies,such as Yoshisa Co.,Ltd,as examples to deliver the whole progress of the setup,development,competition and merger of a private-owned emigration company.All this description delivers a clear understanding of the inner structure of these emigration companies and how they managed,the relationship between these business partners would help us to understand quite will how important the emigration companies in the economical society and the achievement they got.
