Vocal is an art of language, so the study of vocal music theory and techniques should be based on the general phonetics. Acoustic phonetics is the interdisciplinary subject between vocal music theory and general phonetics. Vocal music need to follow the meaning of language exist in the process of specification as well as to meet the requirements of vocal music art science sound law and aesthetic features because the restriction of phonetics pronunciation methods and rules. There is a phenomenon that our Chinese vocal music works are described as “singing with something in mouth” by Chinese and our foreign vocal music works are not accepted by the foreigners. From the perspective of phonetics,it is originated in we did not attach enough attention and scrutiny to consonant which is the more important elements in language link.There are 22 consonants in mandarin,except deep-back velar nasal [?] is fixed at the end of the syllable, the other 21 consonants also known as “initial consonant” or “prefix”. Initials of the clear or not directly affects the quality of singing. This thesis tries to plosive,lateral,fricative,nasal these four types of initial research and discussion, combination of source position and effect of pronunciation. In vocal music works of different Chinese typical initials types for example analysis. Use the anatomical atlas of vocal organs to make a direct compare, study the relationship between the flow rates, direction of the initial consonant in singing and the lip, tongue, teeth, and throat. Contribute to set up sing the rationality and thinking clearly, the breath flow and stability, using accurate and flexible manner pronunciation, Clean and fruity timbre, vigorous and unified resonance, smooth and science phonation.
