In recent years, with the development of China's economy and the deepening of the "Belt and Road" policy, the economic and cultural cooperation between China and Latin America has become more and more intensive, and the Hanban has paid more and more attention to the Chinese language teaching in Latin America. As an economic power in Latin America,Mexico has an increasing demand for Chinese learning, and the significance of Chinese teaching and research in Mexico is becoming more and more obvious. The author went to Mexico in August2018 as a volunteer Chinese teacher,so this paper aims to find out the causes of the misacquisition of initial consonants by Mexican Chinese junior students through the author's own teaching experience, and put forward the corresponding teaching strategies,to facilitate the teaching of Chinese to Mexican students. This paper is divided into the following five parts: the first part, combined with the outstanding research results of predecessors, analyzes the status quo of initial consonant teaching at home and abroad. In the second part,by comparing the Chinese initial consonant system with the Spanish consonant system,it is predicted that Mexican Chinese learners will have biased initial consonants. In the third part, the pronunciation test paper is made and the test results are analyzed to get the initial error rate of Mexican Chinese learners. The fourth part analyzes the causes of errors from four aspects:Negative transfer of mother tongue, interference of target language, influence of teaching subject and object and external factors. The fifth part, from the Chinese pronunciation teaching principle, the initial consonant teaching method and the pronunciation teaching skill three aspects puts forward some teaching suggestions.
