In the highly materialistic modern society, it has become a periodic difficult problem for current cultural protection about how to find a way out for "non-material" matters. In order to conduct more comprehensive protection and inheritance to non-material cultural heritage in an efficient and flexible way, the introduction of digital technology will bring a revolutionary technological reform in the field.Dong nationality, who lives in the borderline between Hunan, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Guizhou, has a long history and ancient civilizations. As one of China's ten major brocade, the intangible cultural heritage Dong Nationality brocade has witnessed and recorded this glorious history. But in recent years, under the impact of modernization, Dong Nationality brocade, which is a wonderful flower in the Chinese craft history, it is fading out Dong Nationality people's life gradually. Just like the traditional cultures and crafts of many minorities, it is disappearing gradually. Starting from the five aspects'finishing and analysis of craft types, composition, colors, application and patterns, it makes an insight into the creative inertia and implied cultural connotations of Dong Nationality's brocade art, and it digs out the clear and profound artistic language, style characteristics and development direction in Dong Nationality brocade. This stage's research and analysis will provide data support for the following design stage. Next, in the previous rational finishing and analysis, under the premise of respecting the artistic principles of Dong Nationality brocade, it puts the theory into practice, so it carries out the development and design of the data platform of Dong Nationality brocade, which is one kind of intangible cultural heritage. It defines the guidance quality of databases by according to the present and future development directions of Dong Nationality brocade, from which it conducts user groups and demand analysis, so as to establish a complete database platform framework for Dong Nationality brocade, on the basis of which it develops the interactive and visual design work of database platform. At the same time, it gets involved in the design by using resources in the database, and it conducts the innovative and new design to Dong Nationality brocade by basing on the laws of the brocade art, thus injecting new blood for the development and inheritance process of Dong Nationality brocade under the premise of keeping its essence.In the end, it concludes the problems and finding found in the research and design process, puts forwards considerable suggestions and prospect for the protection, inheritance and innovative development of Hunan Tongdao's Dong Nationality brocade, and it explores the protection way for intangible cultural heritage which is in line with China's national conditions.
