The dance gestures on the Dunhuang frescoes dexigned by talented painters are combination of political,economic,cultural and artistic features at specific eras,which create a unique art form.lt not only vividly illustrates personalized dance performances,styles and aesthetic characteristics of ideas in each era,but also shows the cultural psychological characteristics of the general public to a certain extent,which provides us with an approach to study of ancient music and dance,painting,and culture.the essay with the title of“The discussion of the aesthetic characteristics and cultural implication of the dance gesture on the Dunhuang frescoes--Take the Dunhuang frescoes during the wei and jin Dynasties and the Tang Dynasty as examples”makes good use of literature and field survey.After a brief discussion of the formation and evolution of the dance gesture on the Dunhuang frescoes,and based on the systematic analysis of the wei,jin and Tang Dynasty Dunhuang frescoes dance aesthetic characteristics and cultural implications of the similarities and differences,the essay eventually summarizes the current innovations of dance training and performances and the current inspiration to play its practical guidance value.According to the investigations about Dunhuang caves and Buddhism,we can conclude that the dances in the Dunhuang frescoes are centered about Buddhist culture,which mainly portrayed the processes of contribution of Buddhist caves.For over a thousand years of development,Dunhuang frescoes experienced early(North cool,Northern wei,Western wei and Northern Zhou),medium(Sui and Tang)and late(Five Dynasties,Western Xia,Song,Yuan)stages.From the perspective of the aesthetic appreciation,during the eras of Wei and Jin Dynastids,the content of Dunhuang frescoes are dominated by the cultures of entertaining frescoes are dominated by the cultures of entertaining Buddha,which described the mysterious dance scenes with arcuate connection between the beginnings and the ends.Dancers in the pictures are always lean and the ends.Dancers in the pictures are always lean and square face women with long and thin silk fly around them.However,in Tang Dynasty,the frescoes were more likely to depict the dances of the combination of Buddhist culture and social daily customs.Frescoes in this era treated the chubbiness ang delicate dresses as the beauties of a dancer.Anyway,religions are always the canter of frescoes for these two periods,and they have similar styles in dressing their dancers.However,they have a lot of differences in dancing expressions,dancers features,dancing postures,details in movements,and tricks in painting.These are the main ideas of the Great Dunhuang frescoes.
