As soon as Martial arts film was produced, it enjoyed great position. However,with time going by,martial arts movie gradually began declining. Magical martial arts moviesthat combining traditional oriental martial arts story with special effects of technology are trying to occupy a place. Unfortunately, the reputation of the box office is not ideal.Compared to traditional martial arts movie, magical martial arts movies appeared laterand there were only a few movies and the research about the type of move as well. This paper aims to pick out ten representative magical martial arts movies to analyze and find current problemsconcerning this type of film as well as the solution to solve them. Chinese magical martial arts moviesare faced with a lack of innovation and cultural elements,ignoring the plight of artistic value and paying little attention to the deviation of the audience orientation.Under the duel impacts of domestic commercial films and Hollywood,and their own problems, magical martial arts moviesare urgent to seek a new way out. This paper puts forward suggestion aiming at the expression of the theme, atrial value,the technology of special effect, the innovation of materials and the mode of transmission.
