| In recent years, the development and achievement of Korean films can hardly be ignored, especially the rise of realistic films based on true stories, which have won common concerns both in the field and academia. Although this type of film is still yet to come up with a sound definition and not originally created by Korea as well, they do embrace with rapid development in Korea since the beginning of 21 st century and welcomed by a large population, which have made it an unique phenomenon of Korean films, as well as the main concern of this paper. Besides, as the films are more than the reproduction of real stories, they also endow with a special form of knowledge and a profound social influence, this study will take the view of the sociology of knowledge, so as to further explore the social concerns, the reconstruction and construction of reality, and the far-reaching effects for the whole country which have showed in these films.Based on the above, this paper will take The Attorney as a case study, which works on detailed analysis of the content and discourse in view of sociology of knowledge, and try to explore the production of these particular images as a form of knowledge as well as the relationship between knowledge and society in this mechanism. All in all, this paper devotes to making an objective and comprehensive study on the film The Attorney and South Korean realistic films based on true stories with the theories and perspectives of the sociology of knowledge. |
