Nowadays,with the social progress of science and technology and the close communication between countries,the dissemination of culture has become more and more convenient then before,and animation,a huge cultural industry has been unprecedented developing,and has a heavy influence in the world,animated movies in today is not only a form of expression for children,now many adults also love animated movies very much.The center themes of animation is sometimes more profound than others,and the speed of the development is nobody expected.The animation's industry reflects the growing strength of culture,the impact in the crowd is also growing,and Japanese animation industry is leading the world.Miyazaki Hayao,the first Japanese animator,created animation works with many brilliant achievements,and was praised as "Akira Kurosawa in the animation industry".His works not only brought him the reputation of animation masters,but also created many miracles for the animation industry.His work,"Spirited Away",which won the 75th Oscar for Best Animation Feature Film in 2003.Miyazaki,the animator,who won the 87th Oscar Award for Lifetime Achievement on November 8,2014.Sociology of knowledge is an important subject which studies the relationship between the thought or the knowledge and the being,and focuses on the role of social existence in the production and restriction of thought.As the great founder of sociology of knowledge,Karl Manheim pays attention to ideas in the generation and development of knowledge is not determined by the theory itself,but the society outside it.The basic idea of social circumstance is the social conditions,which is the central idea of the sociology of knowledge.Mannheim calls this view "social situational determinism".The research theories and methods used in this paper are derived from Mannheim's knowledge sociology system.From the perspective of the sociology of knowledge,this paper interprets Miyazaki Hayao's animated works "Spirited Away" from a sociological perspective.Through the theoretical perspectives and method of sociology of knowledge from Mannheim,this paper probes the relationship between the theme elements in the works and the author's personal experience,and the connection between the background of the audience group and the specific spiritual needs.In order to have a deeper understanding and interpretation of Miyazaki Hayao's animation works.The introduction part introduces the emergence and the development of the sociology of knowledge,and emphatically explains the theory and method of knowledge sociology of Mannheim,and introduces the main achievements of Miyazaki Hayao's works to explain the significance of the study.In the second chapter,the author interprets and analyzes the ecological part of Miyazaki Hayao's animated works in detail,after making an introduction the description of ecological problems in the works,based on Miyazak's personal experience,the author analyzes the social environment in order to produce this kind of ecological concept,and analyzes the social situation of the audience groups to find out the social reasons that they agree with Miyazaki Hayao's ecological viewpoint.In the third chapter,the author makes a sociological analysis of the reasons for the profound implication of the era in the animation and Miyazak's personal experience as well as the audience's experience,and applies the retrogressive research method of the sociology of knowledge.The author ascribes the concrete ideas and modes of thinking that the author wants to express in the animation to the perspective he has,and then attributes his perspective to his life experience and the social situation in which he lives.Then through the connection between them to find the social roots of MiyazakiHayao's theme.And use the same method to find out what kind of perspective a particular social situation has in a given era.Construct the mutual thinking pattern and spiritual needs,finally find the unique success of Miyazaki Hayao's "Spirited Away".In the fourth chapter,the author begins with the cultural environment in which the author grew up,connecting his artistic creation style with his cultural situation,and ascribing his mode of thinking and creative characteristics to the regional culture he has been exposed to.Whether local or non-native,what is the expectation of an animated film full of historical and cultural texture and how attractive it is to thesepeople.In the fifth chapter,the author writes the profound enlightenment from the angle of knowledge sociology in the research process of Miyazaki Hayao's works "Spirited Away".Thinking and summing the relationship between the author,the times and the audience groups and the social situation.Applying the theory and method of knowledge sociology,we can have a deeper understanding of the inseparable relationship between the emergence and success of an excellent animation work and the social factors.
