In the laboratory environment, the study of cognitive control is often used to study the effect of conflict adaptation, which was significantly smaller than that of the consistency of the consistency of the post conflict effect after the inconsistency test. Typical consistency tasks include Simon, Stroop, and Eriksen Flanker. Although the conflict adaptation effect is a very robust finding, the theoretical basis of the conflict is widely disputed.Conflict monitoring theory is that the frontal cortex medial ACC to monitor the occurrence of conflict, and transmitted the conflicting signals to other brain areas, to improve the level of control in order to better resolve conflicts. In recent years, conflict monitoring theory has been questioned by the feature integration and contingency learning. The feature integration theory considers that the stimulus features and the response characteristics are tied together, and are integrated into a common fragment memory token or event clip, and at least retain the start of the next test. Unbounding and bounding features make subjects for different types required different reaction time. Using the method of removing repetition, contingency learning eliminates the effect of feature integration, but the design exiting such a big problem that increasing the number of consistent or inconsistent test will lead to the problem of random feature selection. An increasing number of researchers are also presented with the need to reinvestigate the conflict adaptation effect and its electrophysiological index, in order to prevent the discovery of conflict monitoring is actually the process of feature integration or incidental learning. Based on this purpose, this study adopts the modified Flanker task to eliminate the characteristics of feature integration and contingency learning, and to investigate the effect of conflict adaptation and its electrophysiological index. Secondly, the research on the conflict adaptation effect and image structure, conflict adaptation effect was considered as a characteristic of an individual, so far, no literature has been investigated in detail the characteristics of the conflict adaptation effect, so the conflict adaptation and its electrophysiological index are studied in this paper. Finally, even if the researcher uses the same experimental paradigm, it is possible to get inconsistent conclusions in the study of conflict adaptation. It is indicated that the number of trails had a significant effect on the conflict adaptation effect. So based on previous research, the study tries to eliminate the effect of feature integration and incidental learning to analysis the effect of trail numbers on conflict adaptation.Based on the above questions, this study recruited 57 healthy subjects, such as vision or corrected visual acuity, the 57 subjects were used to the right hand, which voluntary participation in the experiment and the score of the Depression Anxiety Scale score was normal, no other mental history, and so on. The classical digital flanker task is used in this experiment, and in order to eliminate typing fingering skilled differences, subjects are asked to do exercise, when the speed and accuracy to meet the requirements can in formal experiments. Three stimulus sets are included in the formal experiments, with 10 stimulating module in each set, each participant randomly to any arbitrary five stimulation of a set of modules. Each of these modules should meet the requirements of the following: a total of 49 trails, and the first is congruent trail, which will be ruled out not to participate in the statistical analysis, there are 24 incongruent trails, and 24 congruent trails 24, CI, II, IC, CC 12 of each item. At the same time, in order to eliminate the interference of feature integration and accidental learning, four congruent trails or incongruent trails are not allowing in the program, stimulus or targets characteristics are not allowing repeat in the adjacent trails. In the process of experiment, brain product equipment was used to record the electroencephalogram during the task.Removing the effect of feature integration and contingency learning, behavioral data and electrophysiology data were statistically analyzed, results shows that the effects of conflict monitoring and conflict adaptation are still exist, and N2 is a physiological index of conflict monitoring and conflict adaptation. Using SPSS software to analyze the behavior data and brain data, the correlation coefficient of conflict monitoring was high and the reliability was good, and the correlation coefficient of conflict adaptation was low and the reliability was poor, and the number of trails for the N2 steady peak was 33. This study has a strong robustness to the conflict monitoring and conflict adaptation.
