In this process, the "Intertextuality" has generated between the poetry and the theme, plots and characters of the film, and it will construct the meaning of the film text. In the postmodern society, the sonnets do not be shelved and forgotten, or just be cherished by the elite. On the contrary, the sonnets are shown in front of the public through the audio-visual text, thus more accessible. When the poem text is transformed into the video text, the "Intertextuality" also generates. Not only does the new text contain the feelings of the poets, the interpretation of history, but it is given the new meaning by the film and television. This transformation has a very important significance: perhaps through the film and television technology, some unknown beauty of the poetry would be discovered and present to the public. In the video society, people would have another interpretation for Shakespearian sonnets. The sonnets contain the eternal themes like love, time, life and death, and it raises the themes of films to philosophy level. In addition, it will leave a deep memory for audiences because of the beautiful and concise poetic language, and at the same time the film would win a good reputation.
