Through research and study of Boshan coloured glaze's development and current situation. This paper observed that Boshan coloured glaze as traditional art has splendid cultural history. However, concerning the inheriting and learning difficulties of it, the inheritance crisis issue should be paid highly attention.Traditional inherit methods of Boshan coloured glaze was inherited through family inheritance and teacher-prentice inheritance. However,since from the industrial mass production in 1960 s, the traditional inherit method was fundamentally changed. For example, factory ' s operation mode influenced the consumption pattern and environment of coloured glaze art; market directly impact traditional techniques. As a result, apprentices are less and less. Coloured glaze art as traditional culture heritage, it is influenced by the socialized mass production and modern art. Fundamental changes appear in aspects of model, colour,techniques and moral. Such changes are not only show the modern process of art forms, but also reflect the crisis of the disappearing traditional art.This paper claims that the changes of traditional teacher- prentice pattern have close relationship with production mode. In other words, thetransforms of production mode changed the family operated mode and the inherit relationship of Boshan coloured glaze. Besides, it also influence the inherit pattern in different period and systems. Concerning the causes of inheritance crisis, one is due to the economic environment, another is the limitation of the changing social culture environment.Coloured glaze as a course has been opened in many modern schools,which is a development of traditional workshop inherit pattern. Based on theoretical teaching, such course focuses on the cultivation of aesthetic ability. Modern school education is a new solution to solve the inherit crisis. It is also an important complement for teacher-prentice inherit system.
