Local history compilation is China's outstanding tradition, and village records are part of local history, at the same time, village records compilation and archives are closely linked. With the national cultural strategy and new rural construction policy are put forward and promoted, the village records compilation work was gradually understood and valued by people, and a number of outstanding village records emerged. Among them, “Longjing records”, the village records of Zhaitan village, Jixi, Anhui Province, which have great impact because of its own as the ancient village in Huizhou and the advantage of having a large number of village archives and genealogy archives. This as a starting point, through a large number documents and field surveys, and from the process, the content and the result of village records compilation, we can analyze the link between village records compilation and Huizhou culture. Through these, we will know that in the compilation process, whether the topic or archives search and application, are required to comply with the local actual situation, to highlight its characteristics. Besides, in the content of compilation, the custom and the village layout and construction etc. show the specific content of the local culture. Further more, in the results of compilation, village records help record, spread and research local culture.
