From Walking Into City Both In Body And In Ming To Home In Spirit—The Description Of City In Li Peifu's Novel Of The Rest Of 90s

For those writers whose ancestral home is in Henan province,local land and power are the tireless objects of their expressions.Li Peifu,as a representative of the Henan's writer,his work was to eulogize the good emotion of the village on the plain of the middle of the Henan province and explore the existed emotion of the living creature under the power.However,since the 1990 s,with the speeding up of urbanization,city with its quick tendency push the county to run on the way of modernization,while the village also show the attitude of catering to city's taste or rejecting it among the strong hug and kiss of the city.Li Peifu,as a sensitive writer of touching the era pulse,tries to break the critics of the Henan's writer and works which are from local but subject to local,and more heavy but clever insufficient,and then he create the new writing space and move the writing center from village to city.Li Peifu senses the heavily attack of city as the strength of the field of material civilization,begins to paying attention to the attraction of the city for the immigration of the village,the shape and alienation for immigrations and citizens from the representation of modern material civilization of the city and the urban daily landscape and cultural connotation,which show the struggle course on the way of seeking ideal home under the urbanization.This paper is proposed to a dynamic process the “to the city of body and mind,to live in the city,to desire from the city” as a clue.To analyze the description of the city in Li's novels,and on the basis of the present research,this paper tries to comb and explore cause and effect of the immigrant from village to city which can reveal the true inner experience during the description of city and the psychological demands and emotional memories behind the created subjects.The introduction mainly explains the reason of the selected topic,the present research,the purpose and significance of the research,and the definition and the concept of the city writing.Chapter one: the emotional appeal to city in body and in mind.In terms of cultural connotation of city,the city is not only a simple sense,geographical space of the city,but also a kind of ideal life and a beautiful dream for those who have never walked into city.Therefore,in the first section of this chapter,the author is to write from the connotation of the city,the material city and the spiritual city.The material city represents the rapid development of urban economy,leaping the space symbol of the tall buildings and the neon streets;the spiritual city not only carries the yearning and love for city of the countless people,but also records the thinking and proposition about the rural urbanization which is a topic of the anthropology.The section two mainly analyses the dynamic emotional appeal of the city's settler who want to enter into city and then have been settled into city in three images: ants,lamps and woman.Chapter two: to depict the landscape of the living city.First of all,the author depicts the desire to the landscape of the urban daily life and the city human feeling-----indifference which is the normal relationship in urban city.Secondly,the author will again focus on the city's settler whose mental state are paradox between pursuing themselves and losing themselves after entering the city.Moreover,on the basis of the summary of the former two sections,this part is to explore the consumption culture and powerful culture in theory.Chapter three: to return home in spirit of desire to leave city.The author mainly describes the city settlers desire to return home from city.While they enjoy the superiority of the material civilization of the city,the alienation of human nature makes them produce the intention and the impulse of returning home.But after returning home,they suffer from the plight of losing home.So the author puts forward the proposition about where return home.Chapter four: to analyze the reason of the mode of “into city-out city”.In terms of the impregnation of the literary tradition,the mix of the “amphibious” experience and the bias of the creative psychology,the author mainly excavate the deep reason and psychological demands behind the creative body of the writers.The conclusion will make a consideration of the city writing of Li Peifu's novel under the background of the Henan's literature and the contemporary literature for which can explore the achievement and shortage of the city writing in Li Peifu's novel.Meanwhile,this paper tries to make people thinking about how to depict the city under the background of modernization.
