Reinhold MoritzevitchGliere was one of the first generation composers after the October Revolution in the Soviet Union. During the brutal Patriotic War, he wrote the famous "Vocal Concerto" in the 1940s, which deeply expressed the spirit of patriotism and vividly demonstrated the Soviet people’s inner world. Reinhold MoritzevitchGliere composed his Vocal Concerto with a single voice vowel "a" instead of a solo instrument for the first time, which was beyond a coloratura soprano’s attempt. This thesis is comparative study and mainly concentrates on Reinhold MoritzevitchGliere’s "Vocal Concerto". The author compared the different versions of these three sopranos NadezhdaKazantseva, Wu Bixia and Dilber and tried to draw a conclusion. The first chapter showed the biography of Reinhold MoritzevitchGliere and analyzed his music style. The second chapter focused on the comparative studies on diverse singing performance styles and different characteristics of the three singers respectively and tried to find some similarities; Chapter Three discussed thereflections on singing through the comparison and came to the conclusion.
