In Mongolia Yuan dynasty, the governors in Qin Long region were appointed by the feudal lords of the Mongol Empire, which abided by the system of enfeoffment at that time. The Yongchang Wang family led by Kuo Duan, the Bin Wang family led by Chu Bo and the Anxi Wang family appointed as governors in this region one after another played an important role in the internal and external wars in Yuan dynasty and in the formation of the Yongchang Wang Ulus, Bin Wang Ulus and Anxi Wang Ulus.At the moment, Buddhism and Daoism prevailed over different places in Qin Long region with strong influence and large population. The governors took into consideration the distribution of religion in their fiefs and the common aspiration of the people and then took actions to protect every religion to make the religious forces calm down. Meanwhile, they usually solved the political issues with the help of religion. For example, Kuo Duan figured out the Tibetan issue with the help of the Sakya school of the Tibetan Buddhism; Chu Bo family maintained the religious identity of Han, Tibetan and Uyghur nationality and so on by means of Buddhism;and Ananda fought for the throne by making use of religion. The governors themselves also believed in religion, which depended on the tradition of their family and the influence of religion in their fiefs. In addition, they protected the other religions. That was why the other religions, such as Islam, developed as well. Therefore, multi-religions coexisted in their fiefs. And their beliefs in religion were versatile. It is inadvisable to study the religious beliefs of them on the basis of one-sided materials. For this, Ananda is an good example. The religious policies in Qin Long region are considered to become the multi-elemental religious and cultural policies in Yuan dynasty in miniature. And this case study enables to have a better understanding of the national unity and multiplicity in Mongolia Yuan dynasty.
