Xue Mo is a writer who was born in the west of Liang Zhou, Liang Zhou culture,imperceptibly affect his character, aesthetic taste, artistic way of thinking and work life content, artistic style, technique of expression, in his works, he naturally shows his hometown culture. From the beginning of the first novel "desert Festival", his works has been writing Liang Zhou, and recording the survival status of Liang Zhou people. Thus, Xue Mo's novels are considered to be the representative works of contemporary western literature. Combined with the analysis of Xue Mo's novels research present situation, it is found that although relates to the works of Liang Zhou regional culture, but many researchers study on relative content of a single and weaker overall. So this paper tries to make further development and mining on the basis of this thesis.In the introduction, I make a brief overview of the Xue Mo and his creations, and roughly integrate the research status of Xue Mo's novels and the innovation points of this paper and the basic ideas. In the first chapter, I has a simple comb of the culture of Liang Zhou, followed by a brief statement of Liang Zhou culture in the novels,focusing on why the author want to describe the culture of Liang Zhou. The second chapter introduces the novel presentation of Liang Zhou culture, such as rich and colorful folk customs, dialect, survival anxiety Liang Zhou people. The third chapter discusses the significance of the regional culture in the Xue Mo's novels. On the one hand, readers can understand the culture of Liang Zhou. On the other hand, some of the traditional culture and modern culture based on his own home in the tide of modernization will disappear; he has the responsibility to write down the culture of the region. In the end, as a western writer, describing the characteristics of the west is also helpful to the people to know the west, so that the West as an independent existence stands in China. In the conclusion, the author emphasizes the culture of Liang Zhou in the snow desert novel, which highlights the unique and irreplaceable.
