Deng Gang is a pioneer of Dalian literature.His “haiwei” novels represent ocean novels in our country enter into a new developing phase.Environment of life surrounded by three sides of sea and experiences of contacting with sea for many years make his novels to form a special style,also,rich “haiwei” in works shows Deng Gang's unique to be a Dalian author and it received widely reputation from readers and attention from academia increasingly.Literature and theory circles proceeded many researches about his writings' theme and artistic characteristics.Based on the present research,This paper take Mirendehai,Longbingguo,Baihaishen and Shanlanghaizei which are representative novels with “haiwei” as researching objects.This paper starts from the angle of language,applies theories of linguistics,lexicology and rhetoric etc.,and uses methods of literature analyzing,description and induction,statistical analysis to proceed overall observation and systematic research for the language of Deng Gang's “haiwei” novels.The paper is consisted of six parts.The introduction mainly introduces the reason why I choose the topic and the significance of the study,and combs the relevant researchs about Deng Gang's novels and explains the source of the corpus and its selection process.This part also illustrates the resource of language material and its selection process,and clarifies theory basis and researching methods etc.The first chapter mainly introduces Deng Gang's life experience and his literature creation.Deng Gang faced double pressures from politics and economy because of the his father's “identify” issue,therefore he was forced to contact with sea.Deng Gang accumulated lots of abundant and special literary material and created works with rich “Haiwei” because of his career with contacting with sea.The second chapter describes the basic situation of the description about sea in Deng Gang's four “haiwei”novels as a whole,which included classification and distribution about sea in his works.Among them,the part classifies description about sea from different angles and uses data to display its distribution.The third chapter studies the language features of Deng Gang's “haiwei” novels from vocabularies and figure of speech,and analyzes the semantic categories,structures,and lexical aspects of vocabularies which are related to sea.This chapter also explains the use of the metaphor,the comparison,the ratio,the exaggeration and so on.The fourth chapter summarizes the language features of Deng Gang's “haiwei”novels from two aspects: “ocean culture” and “regional characteristics”.A large number of words related to the sea,the use of a variety of rhetoric and and the images of the career of touching sea show the ocean culture.The use of northeast dialects shows the geographical characteristics of the northeast writers;The application of northeast dialects shows regional feathers of northeast authors;legends such as“shebuguohai” “haiyecha”show local feathers of Dalian;also,the abusive language in works also show the images of tough guys and expresses regional culture of the sea.The main cause of its language features include: one is the space factors: the influence of the living environment;The second is the time factor: the evolution of history and politic.The conclusion part summarizes the full text and combs the research ideas of this paper.At the same time,it points out the main innovation of this paper which is from the perspective of linguistics to analyze the “haiwei” novels of Dalian writer Deng Gang.As well as this paper uses a closed corpus and data statistics.In addition,this part pointed out the shortcomings of this article.
