There are numerous regional branches of Chinese opera, of which the Beijing opera becomes one of the most notable after long-term development.Beijing opera has deep influence worldwide now, especially in the culture interchange between China and other countries.Beijing opera being loved by Chinese people is obvious to all.Either the programs of evening parties or the entertainment in parks, Beijing opera is the most common one, and this shows the status in the mind of Chinese people. When talking about China by foreign people, they always think of Beijing opera firstly, and what's more, there are many people around the world have come attracted by Beijing opera to study it.Beijing opera has become one of representative of China, been renowned worldwide, and been called as'the quintessence of Chinese culture'.The piano music,'Pi Huang', written by Chao Zhang, is an excellent work that mixes together piano tone and common systematic tunes, instruments of Beijing opera. He used voice music and plank frame in Beijing opera in the creation, and wrote a special piano music with unique national flavor by imitating tone of traditional instruments.Many parents hope that their children could study piano in young ages, consequently, there is a large quantities of piano students in China. At the same time that this'piano craze'spreads out, many fields in China, such as economy and culture, also develop rapidly, and the exchange with international culture becomes more frequently.Many Chinese pianists won awards at international piano competitions, which takes Chinese piano music into world stage.However, the piano music with Chinese characteristic style doesn't have a high popularity, one reason is that many tutors prefer to use western piano works as texts rather than Chinese piano music during teaching.Although there is a whole piano-teaching system as well as numerous excellent works in the west, it should be essential to study Chinese piano cases.It helps not only to study music, but also to raise the patriotism and a sense of national pride, and moreover, it contributes to the inheritance and development of Chinese traditional musical art.In order to build our own 'Chinese music school', it would be a process of nationalization.The piano music works with Chinese style has its unique features, both in musical characters and in playing skills.For example, special playing rhythm and tone imitation of Chinese traditional instruments are needed to some special piano playing skills that are different with western piano works.Nevertheless, these special playing skills cannot be trained by using western piano texts.How to comprehend the characters and skill difficulty of Chinese style piano music better through playing piano works with Chinese style needs to be trained systematically.The article tries to find the common places of playing Chinese piano music in terms of technology and playing skills, by analyzing the musical characters and playing skills of'Pi Huang', which is one of the most representative Chinese style piano works. Moreover, this article discusses about the reasons that the Chinese piano works is not valued, and the importance of learning Chinese cases.The article can be divided into the following parts:Part one is introduction of the background of the work and its author.Through introducing the life background and study experience of the author'Chao Zhang'of'Pi Huang', and creation background, we can comprehend the whole creating thoughts and writing style of Mr. Zhang.Part two is the musical form analysis of'Pi Huang'.We analyze the whole work of'Pi Huang' from all angles of musical elements, and try to hold the presentation and idea of the work.Part three is the study of skill characters and playing difficulty.Firstly, we analyze the special rhythm characters of Chinese traditional music to interpret the whole style of'Pi Huang'.Then, we explain playing difficulties that is occurred easily during playing.At last, we study the application of pedal.Part four is the study of teaching'Pi Huang'.First of all, we conclude the textbooks for Chinese piano works learning, and choose some classical works to introduce it. It makes figure technical preparations for playing'Pi Huang'.Next, we try to extend the study of playing skill in instrument imitation of Chinese piano music by studying the instrument imitation appeared in'Pi Huang'. Finally, we illustrate the importance and developing direction of teaching Chinese style piano cases.
