Parent-child relationship is a person’s first relationship with others when he/she comes to the world,which has a decisive impact on individual’s physical and mental development. Junior high school period is a critical period of transition from the immature childhood to adulthood, together with the special characteristics of physical and mental development in adolescents, so it is easy to cause contradiction and conflict between parents and children, harm parent-child relationship, and further seriously affect the students’ psychological development.Firstly, the researcher investigated the current situation of the parenthood in a middle school of Nanchang with "Parent-Child Relationship Test" and self-edited interview outline,in order to study the current status of parent-child relationship of middle school students. Then, according to the survey results, the researcher choosed 18 pairs of parent-child, and divided them into experimental and control groups equally and randomly.And then this study make the experimental group do 7 times activities of the Parenthood Group Counseling for two months. It aims at testing the effect of the Group Counseling for the Parent-child relationship improvement of the junior high school students.In a word, the following conclusions can be drawed:(1) The parent-child relationship status quo of junior middle school students was bad, with the three items, worried, expected and spoiled, scored lowest. Interviews found that the presence of miscommunication, reduce affinity, lack of understanding and other issues between parents and children;(2) Group counseling can effectively improve the condition of the parent-child relationship in junior high school students;(3) Group Counseling for parent-child relationship had different degrees of improvements in each dimension, pre-post test study of experiment group had significant differences in Strict、Deny and Contradiction, other dimensions didn’t change significantly. |
