Zhu Xi's students plays an important role in the development of Neo-confucianism,which represents the main force that spread Neo-confucianism after Zhu. Chen Mi(1171-1230) looked forward to learning Zhu's thought in his youth,after the death of Zhu, he took an excellent student of Zhu called Huang Gan as his teacher,Chen devoted himself to study Neo-confucianism, he also kept on shuttlecocking letters with other students of Zhu on discussing the problems about Neo-confucianism, which included his understanding about "Concepting of heaven and man" "Daniel and Pneumatic" "Human mind and moral mind" "Humanity" "Loyalty and Forgiveness" "Ontology" of the Neo-confucianism,which showed his deep insight of Zhu's Neo-confucianism thought. At the same time, being a scholar-official provided him a chance to practice his Neo-confucianism thought,during his official time, Chen regarded Neo-confucianism as the guideline and developed the spirit of Neo-confucianism all the time, he spreaded Neo-confucianism actively, he also organized people to correct books repeatedly, on the premise that Master Chus founded White Deer Grotto Academy, Chen followed his step to found the Yan Ping Academy. This paper is based on the "Fu Zhai Ji" of Chen Mi, and has done textual research on his life story and story's specific time, it summarizes his inheritance and development of Zhu's thought in the aspect of Neo-confucianism thoughts and his practice under the guidance of Neo-confucianism in his official time.
