The Relationship Between Folk Belief And Village Life

The study of regional belief folk custom plays an important role in the study of Chinese folk beliefs. The influence of the Mayixiangu belief in Sang village,Wenshui county, Shanxi Province is relatively limited, but it is the unique local folk belief, spreading a complete story.It has a close connection with the local village life,it affects every aspect of village life. Currently the study of Mayixiangu belief is only limited to the rain folk, there is no comprehensive research for it. This selected topic researches and analyses the relationship between the unique regional local belief and the life of the village by adopting the methods of combination of field survey and literature research. The Mayixiangu belief provides a reliable object of worship to village life, it can help solving the problems in production and life,save a lot of problems for the villagers.People achieve the wishes through worshiping the Mayixiangu and which provide the premise for expanding the Mayixiangu belief. So at various stages of the development of Mayixiangu belief,the influence of her scope expand gradually. So,from praying for rain to giving the child and blessing,the function of xiangu belief is the results of the village life which is mainly based on agriculture.In this paper,using the Mayixiangu belief as the point of penetration,through the analysis of the generation and development of Mayixiangu belief and the village life based on this belief, knows the faith is produced on the basis of agricultural village life and adapts the needs of agricultural village life and also become a part of the village life. The nature of its heritage is to rely on the "non-institutionalized" families and permeating in the village life to continue and then exploring the interaction rules between the special belief folk custom and legends as the representative of Mayixiangu and village life. Finally, summarize the general characteristics of the interactive relationship between the legends and the belief folk custom and village life.
