The Research Of Localization Features In Chinese Science Fiction Creation Within The Turn Of The Century

Science fiction has experienced a course of a century since it appeared in China in 1900. And during these one hundred years, Science fiction in China have suffered many mishaps and misfortunes, experienced the content transformation from taking responsibility for saving the nation as a main idea to popularization of scientific knowledge, and further to pluralistic creation, the science fiction fused together with China, this land amidst the winds of change, and acquired Chinese localization features.The turn of the century brought earthshaking changes to the world and China in particular. The political, economic, cultural, scientific and technological development provided good opportunities for development of science fiction. Chinese science fiction just went out of popular barriers; the new generation of writers have emerged in China, all flowers bloomed together; at the same time, theorists put forward a concept of science fiction localization; these factors provided favourable conditions for Chinese science fiction writers to consciously excavate native resources, create a local science fiction.This paper focuses on the research of localization features in Chinese science fiction creation within the turn of the century as a main period. The introduction part mainly gives the definition of science fiction and its meaning, summarizes the history of China science fiction development, gives a survey on the current situation of creation and research, illustrates the value of the topic. The first chapter from the realistic care perspective shows a social and well-fare concern of Chinese science fiction, international status of technological era, as well as universe sociological imagination and other issues. The second chapter from the view of Eastern philosophy looks upon the life's vision, conception of nature and the view of science and technology in science fiction. The third chapter from the perspective of local image, Oriental myth history, and multi-styles after narrative variation explores local narration persistence and variability. The conclusion points out the deficiency of Chinese localization in science fiction creation, and puts forward the reference opinion, in order to promote the long-term development of Chinese local science fiction creation.
