This paper aims to propose the concept of "Zhenshi" from the current development trend of the fine brush painting and demonstrates it. It compares "Zhenshi" with the concept of "Momentum" in flower and bird paintings, in order to highlight their own characteristics and charm.Fine brushwork and freehand brushwork are two forms of Chinese painting with thousand years development and they both have their own charm. In the Han, the West, the Eastern Jin Dynasty, painters and calligraphers had proposed the concepts of "potential", "Zhen" and "Momentum", later theorists also have excellent reviews about them. Based on the analysis of current outstanding fine brushwork paintings, combining his own practice on flower -and- bird paintings. Trying to use "Zhenshi" to describe the characteristics of the fine brush paintings:the grand, full and intensive composion; rules and order and have a sense of order scene mode; simple lines and color. Trying to use "Momentum" to describe the characteristics of freehand brushworks:interpretation, empty spirit, dynamic composition of a picture; Abstract, dynamic, random scene creation; Rich lines and color. And to compare "Zhenshi" and "Momentum",highlight the characteristics of their art, and put the theory into his own Chinese painting creation.
