Art exhibition in the shopping mall could transfer shopping mall's information and emotional information, which could help render the festive atmosphere and create a good atmosphere of visual space. In addition, art exhibition not only provide easy and comfortable shopping environment to consumers, but also reflect Shopping malls positioning and brand image. That is important to increase the visibility of Shopping malls. As we all know, modern shopping mall use power of color to meet the increasing material and spiritual needs of consumers by emotional resonance with consumers and then stimulate purchasing of consumers. Art exhibition for color design could bring the limitless economic benefit, which makes the shopping mall see its business value then committed to the implementation of the strategy of color marketing. Nowadays, the strategy of color marketing played a very important role in the commercial operation of modern shopping mall.Based on this background, this paper study on the theme of the color design in the new modern shopping festival, to be specific, I will mainly discuss many things from Color orientation, the expression of emotion, color application requirements and the basic design principle of design, which based on design art. In addition, I refer to the current situation of the development of the art exhibition of festival theme in the shopping mall at home and abroad by methods of literature review, analysis of network information, field investigation and interview, and this paper focus on the analysis and summary of spring festival, mid autumn festival and Christmas as an example of the excellent art exhibition in the shopping mall. I hope to provide some practical reference in the color design to fill the vacancy of art exhibition and let color design to meet the needs of consumers and service the market.The first chapter is mainly focus on the topics of reason, significance and the value of the paper, besides, I mentioned the analysis of the research status at home and abroad so as to formulate the specific research content and purpose and methods. The second chapter analyze and summarize the concept, characteristics, classification, design scope and color theory about art exhibition in the shopping. The third chapter refer to the application of art exhibition of festival theme in the shopping mall, and I mainly study on the three aspects such as festival mood, lighting, information carrier. The fourth chapter is summary of this paper, which including the important influence of Color design marketing of art exhibition, the function and value of color marketing, design of application and attention problems and the basic principle of design about art exhibition. The fifth chapter is mainly study on the specific case about the domestic and foreign excellent art exhibition of festival theme in the shopping mall, which through the analysis of the three major traditional festivals of spring festival, the mid Autumn festival, Christmas.
