This paper discusses the conditions of use and the engendered process of associated adverbs “jiu”.From the angles of semantics and syntax, taking “Ji'ran,jiu” as an example and on the basis of language facts, we reveals the associated adverbs “jiu” using conditions by analyzing the collocations exists in adverb “jiu”.The whole text consist of six chapters given below:Chapter 1 Introduction mainly illustrate the purpose, significance, research methods of this article and the sources of corpus used in it.Chapter 2, from the perspective of diachronic and synchronic, summarizes the current scholars' research, mainly include research about the semantic and syntactic of adverb “jiu”, the studies of “jiran,jiu” and research on associated adverb “jiu”.Chapter 3 Embarks from the modern Chinese corpus and clarify the words used before and after the associated adverb “jiu”. Then based on the two typical meanings of associated adverb “jiu”, interpretate 9 kinds of conditions called “must be used”, 9 conditions for “casual used” and 3 conditions for “not be used” associated adverb.Chapter 4 through analysis of “jiu” corpus from the Han dynasty to the Song dynasty, finds out the associated adverbs “jiu”.Meanwhile, in reference to previous studies on the basis of the adverb “jiu” falsified process, analysis associated adverbs by interpretating from four periods: Han Dynasty, Northern and Southern Dynasties, Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty so that we can lead to the development process of associated adverbs “jiu”, then ultimately find out the semantic derivation connection of associated adverbs “jiu”.Chapter 5 Comparison analysis between the ancient associated adverbs “jiu” and modern use,first of all select the corpus from the ancient associated adverbs “jiu” which stand for causation, Then make a comparison by using these selected corpus, and find out the diachronic connectiong on collocations of associated adverbs “Jiu”.Chapter 6 Conclusion: basic content is mainly to summarize the whole text, the shortage of the current study and the other aspect looking forward to improving.
