The Comparative Study Of Interpretation Between Zhuanliwanxiangmingyi And Yupian

Zhuanli Wanxiang Mingyi(short for Mingyi) was compiled by a Japanese monk, who named Konghai, on the basis of Yupian. Yupian is incomplete, but comparing it with Mingyi,we can find they have lots of common ground. So for the study of dictionaries compiled on the basis of Yupian, Mingyi is of great significance.This article mainly focus on the Mingyi paraphrases' value. Although Mingyi stemmed from Yuyian, they have many differences. Konghai used systemative method to delete and chang the content of Yupian. Unfortunately, the study of the differences between the two books is still insufficient. Previous studies mostly aim at some aspect of the two books' differences. Therefore I compared a radical of two books to find the differences, and classifying them, in order to find the causes.By comparing, it is not hard to find the differences in annotation and expression between the two books. Yupian is content rich. However, for saving space, Mingyi only keep some sense. Besides, in order to make the paraphrases more brief, some of the the sense have been cut and extracted. But limited by the author Chinese ability, many senses are not complete or the explanation are erroneous. The paraphrases Mingyi inherited from Yupian is about fifty percent, even so it is still much higher than Songben Yupian. There is some paraphrasesin Mingyi whichwe can not find in Yupian. Afteranalysis, we find that most of them are false paraphrases causing by clerical errors or compiling errors. Some of the new paraphrases come from their variants. The truly new paraphrases is very few. So we can confirm that most of the Mingyi's paraphrases derive from Yupian. However, for lack of evidence, we can not ascertain the origin of the new paraphrases.Throughthecomparative study, the paraphrases relationship between Mingyi and Yupiancan finally besorted out. On the basis of the senior's research, we classified and analyzed the differences of the two books' paraphrases, at last found the causes. hoping our research result can give a little help to the other people who also devote to study this aspect.In addition, during collating materials, we find that lots of those materials are good to thedictionary compilation and amendment.
