A Study On The Conflict And Negotiation Of The Cultural Identity Of The Vietnamese Brides In China

The cultural indentity conflict of legal Vietnamese brides is a complicated intercultural phenomenon generated by the combining influnce of complex intercultural context as well as activities of intercultural immigrants. The cultural indentity conflict of legal Vietnamese brides has morphed into an inportent subject for its breadth and depth. It reflects China's deepening internationalization while having an impact on intercultural context as well. The dissertation attemps to look into the cultural indentity conflict of legal Vietnamese brides. With a theoretical perspective of "Post Colonial cultural indentity theory" and using two research methods-depth interview together with text analysis, this study tries to reveal the deep reason causing the cultural indentity conflict, referring to cultural capital and mass communication, then try to find out a better method from a intercultural communication perspective to help legal vietnamese brides develop a better cultural negotiation.
