Tsinghua bamboo slips“Xinian”(??)records the history that ShangZhouwang(???)doesn,t worship God.The phenomenon of weakening sacrifice is common in late Shang Dynasty.ShangZhouwang must be affected by the social environment.Shangren(??)sacrifice ancestor spirit and deism,and Zhouren(??)sacrifice God and deity.Late Shang is different from early Shang Dynasty in sacrificial tradition.Zhouren measure Shangren in the way of their standard.The act is partial.Theocracy,clan authority and regime are coincident.In order to attain the regime,Zhouren compete for the authority of sacrifice.The record in“Xinian”is just an excuse of the crusade against ShangZhouwang by ZhouWuwang(???).Shangren and Zhouren contest regime.This means fatality changes.We can understand the background of Zhou Dynasty attaining destiny by analyzing“Chengwu”(??).People racgnise destiny is changeable.Fatality transfers to Zhouren,but they have consciousness of vigilance before the war.We illustrate consciousness of taking history as a mirror by researching the first chapter of Tsinghua bamboo slips“Xinian”(??)and“Qiye”(??).
