A Study On Social Integration Function Of Ideology

With the growing development of human society, the degree of social differentiation continuous increasing. Social differentiation has led to the idea of diversification, value of diversity, complexity of interests and other social problems, especially in the context of globalization, which is the prominent phenomenon. On the one hand, social differentiation is a inevitable result of social development, and it is a sign of social progress; On the other hand, the excessive social differentiation will bring a series of challenges to social harmony and stability. Therefore, we also need to integrate the society at the same time of social differentiation. The social integration of ideology is one of the many ways of social integration, which plays an important role in cohesion of social forces, digestion social conflicts, coordinating social interests, etc., and it is an important means to maintain social stability, promote social development and adjust social relations.From the perspective of historical materialism, this paper explores the social integration function of ideology. It is divided into six parts.Part?(Introduction): This part m ainly expounds the origin of this problem and the significance of the topic, the study status at home and abroad, the main elements and basic methods of the study. This paper argues that social differentiation is the premise of social integration, without social differentiation, there is no social integration. From the perspective of the function of ideology, the social integration is the most basic function of ideology. Ideology's integration of the society will help to integrate the social value, social thought and social power, and form the resultant force of social development.Part II(Chapter one): In this part, the concept of ideology is investigated, and the connotation of social integration function of ideology is defined. This paper argues that, even though we cannot give a precise definition of ideology, but in essence, it is a kind of social consciousness. This thesis interprets the connotation of ideology from the aspects of cognition-interpretation, value-belief, strategy-action, multiplicity-complexity and so forth. The social integration function of ideology is the aggregation and leading role in social practice of ideology to the social thought system, the social value system, the social behavior orientation and the social development goal, with the characteristics of sociality, value, consensus and relative independence.Part ?(Chapter tw o): This section introduces the m ain content of social integration function of ideology. This paper argues that major action field-effect of social integration function of ideology is its content, according to different standards, it can be divided into different types. Specifically, mainly have social thought integration and social value integration, Social interest integration and social development integration, social system integration and social organization integration, etc.Part ?(Chapter three): In this part, the m echanism of social integration function of ideology is investigated. This paper argues that the operation of social integration function of ideology cannot be separated from a certain operating mechanism. As a social consciousness, the root of ideology is social practice. Therefore, social practice is the basis of social integration function of ideology. To achieve social integration function of ideology, it cannot be separated from the identity of the subject. In order to better play the role of social integration function of the current dominant ideology, it is necessary to reflect and rebuild the principle, mode and path of social integration function of the current dominant ideology to better serve the construction of the society.
