Shes "March Three" Cultural Activities And Social Integration Function Of

March Third Festival, a traditional festival of She Ethnic Minority, is a significant carrier of She’s traditional culture. As the economy develops, March Third Festival has achieved the transformation from a folk activity to a refined cultural concept, and from a cultural event with local customs and characteristics to a "carnival" style culture festival which government takes the lead and gathers all kinds of She culture code together. To study the social integration function of March Third Festival’s cultural activities of She Ethnic Minority, this paper takes the "March Third" cultural activities held in Chengxi Ethnic Village, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province in2012as the research and study object in an attempt to clarify the social integration function imbedded in the march Third cultural activities by elaborating and analyzing the case.Through in-depth field research and delicate depiction, a realistic ethical festival gathering of a southern Zhejiang village is veritably presented in the text. The She’s "March Third Festival" in Chengxi Ethnic Village was organized by She Ethnic Minority Research Associate of Liandu District, and undertook by the village committee of Chengxi Ethnic Village with a joint participation of dwellers in and outside the village. The content of "March Third" includes hundreds of dinner, cultural performances and all-night singing.The interpersonal interaction, people-organization interaction, and inter-organizational interactions in the activity constitutes a rich social network, which provides rich material for the analyzing the social integration function.Social integration refers to the process and the results of combination of various social factors and parts into a unified and coordinated whole, which is also known as the social unification. Interpersonal integration function, stakeholder integration function is two aspects in analyzing the social integration function of She’s "March Third Festival". On the one hand, the significance of "March Third Festival" cultural activities in improving neighborhood relations, link up affections between the members of the community, enhancing community cohesion, and promoting the community order and stability. On the other hand, the interest between the three stakeholders, the She Ethnic Minority Research Associate, village committee and the ordinary villagers, coordinately coexists and is inseparably interconnected. Obviously, in the process of preparing and launching the She’s "March Third Festival", the activity itself contained a very strong social cohesion, and linked people and organization together playing the role of binder, and maximized the function of social integration.The social integration function of the Chengxi "March Third Festival" cultural activities of She Ethnic Minority does exist in reality. However, to answer whether another activity can perform the same function provoke contemplation on the effect of the ethnical culture in this ethnical carnival, and on whether "March Third Festival" already became a reinvented traditional stage drama. Therefore, in the end of this article, the author advocates, on the basis of a correct understanding of the "March Third Festival" cultural activities’ integrated functions, reserving the kernel of She Culture in the activities rather than overemphasizing on form neglecting the content.
