This article is research on the Ming dynasty's Fahai Temple fresco,which is located in the Cui Wei mountain.Fresco of Fahai Temple is the representative fresco of Ming dynasty,which is beautiful and imposing.According to the analysis of data,it can be infered that Fahai Temple fresco inherits a lot from imperial-court of Song dynasty.At the basis of this, a new development is coming. The thesis is divided into five parts.First part introduces the background of this topic, followed by summarized Fahai Temple mural relevant thesis, and the research methods is put forward.The second part introduces the detail of Fahai Temple,including the temple's history, the content of fresco, construction pattern and the characteristic of Fa Hai Temple's fresco. So many examples are listed which can prove that Fahai Temple's fresco inherits a lot from imperial-court of Song dynasty in the third part.Lists the new developments of Fa Hai Temple's fresco at the basic of imperial-court in the fourth part. The last part is the influ of Fahai temple fresco in later generations.Based on multi-analysis of data, this paper agreed with the idea that the style of Fahai Temple's fresco is inheritance from the Song dynasty imperial-court. Not only because there are a lot of similarities between the two, but also there are obvious differences compared with the contemporary mural painting style. The main purpose of this article is to display the inheritance which the Fa Hai Temple's fresco inherit from imperial-court of Song dynasty. Constructed by officials from Han and Tibetan nationalities, Fahai Temple Main Hall mural absorbed a lot of art factors from Tibetan Buddhist.Although Fahai Temple including many painting style,it still can't cover the inheritance and development from Song dynasty's imperial-court.
