| In the past, the capital sources of Chinese films and TV industry are from government fund, bank loan, file pre-sale, company's own money, and idle funds of other industries. Film and TV industry has been growing very fast since abolish of the restrictions of investments on it. It leads to the accelerating of the demand for money of the industry. While the traditional capitals can't met the needs of the industry, film and TV industry investment funds are emerging.As the most mature market and the largest manufacture of film and TV in the world, the United States has the most developed system of film industry, as well as its experiences of the investments on the film production. In recent years, some of the American film investment funds have become the fresh power in the industry.This essay is mainly about the investment from the film invest funds. It begins with film industry comparing about China and the U.S. Then analyses the investments on the film industry from private equity and venture capital funds, and compares these investments activities with China's similar situation.
