The Linguistic Study On Lyrics Of Network Songs

With the popularization of Internet in our country, the network songs have gradually become one of the musical forms favored by the public as an important part of pop culture in recent years. Besides its lively and melodious rhythm, the most important factor of network songs which makes it such popular should be attributed to its artistic characteristics of the lyrics. The lyrics of network songs nowadays have a strong social influences and draw more and more attention from all circles of the society because of its wide spreading. However, the academic field is now still inconclusive for the study of ‘elegance and vulgarity' of network lyrics. The purpose of this paper is to find out the linguistic value of the excellent network lyrics and to explore the fundamental reasons of network lyrics ‘vulgarity', so as to remove the misunderstanding and prejudice against network lyrics. And it also attempts to lay the theoretical foundation for the healthy development of network lyrics.According to the structural linguistics of pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, pragmatics four basic elements, this dissertation resolves around the network songs so as to systematically explore its linguistic characteristics. When doing this research, I use the method of theoretical and case analysis in combination by following the principles of integrating theory with practice. In terms of language material selection, firstly I defined the time frame of the study to determine the collection scope of typical language materials. Secondly, I have collected a large amount of network lyrics text and classified it according to different types so as to establish a comprehensive language material library of network lyrics.On this basis, this paper has a solid factual for research. The application of relevant theories of general linguistics, rhetoric, lyrics combines with typical lyrics cases to specifically review linguistic characteristics of the network lyrics. The research method of combining scientific theory with a lot of typical examples makes this study a fresh vitality and sufficient powers of persuasion.Through the research we found that a large number of domestic excellent network lyrics are provided with high linguistic value and artistic appreciation value. In the aspect of pronunciation, network lyrics have a harmonious rhythm, the level and oblique tones alternated, double rhyming, tempo changes and other artistic features. It can perfectly blend music melodies and beautiful Chinese phonology. In the aspect of vocabulary, Network lyrics only seize the lexical features of classical literary language, it is also good at absorbing vivid fashion network language and the dialect vocabulary of unique local characteristics, which makes lexical features of network lyrics full of colorful art features. In terms of grammar, network lyrics pay special attention to transformation of sentence patterns and the flexible use of parts of speech and this enables network lyrics to have grammatical features of changing. In the aspect of pragmatics, bold use of extraordinary way of words achieves the pragmatic effect of defamiliarization and brings audio-visual enjoyment to the audience. Combination of the words with fashion personality and the use of the implicit moving metaphor make the network language more artistic appeal. However, network lyrics still exist with many realistic problems in creation and spreading at the present stage. Only by clearly grasp the language development trend of network lyrics creation, can we truly build lay a foundation of the healthy growth to our national network lyrics.
