Chinese painting art including silk silks, powder wall, artware, stone building and the above design on the tomb bricks, etc1. Portrait stone is surface pattern inscribed on a coffin, ancestral temple and tomb wall, portrait brick is to print by stamping, molding and firing2. In this paper, the Han portrait we study only refer to the deer pattern on the portrait rock.Han dynasty deer pattern portrait rock is often one of the topics appear in the Han dynasty portrait rock, in these deer Han pattern portrait stone carving, image often appear in the hunting map, the deer car figure, auspicious figure and becoming immortal diagram. In hunting figure: Deer as the objects of real life by hunting rabbits, birds, tigers and other records in scenes together to show what the real life is, in the deer car figure: Deer as a substitute for horse, assume the role of the pull a cart; In the auspicious figure: Deer, because of its long life, gentle and derived to pure and good moral as rende of beast in auspicious figure;In the becoming immortal figure, the ancients believed that the deer is a fairy, thefeathermen mounts, deer to depict on wings, hoping after the death, they can be riding the deer to become an immortal. These are the real life, secular habit and cosmology in Han dynasty.The article according to the functional meaning on the basis of deer pattern Han dynasty, from the four parts of the deer Han pattern portrait brick material performance and the cultural implication is discussed.The first part, through looking at the special political background in the period of two Han dynasties, its economic development, analyzes the humanistic ideas and social customs of popular, explore the Han deer pattern portrait brick forming social background. Demonstrate its different cultural symbol and meaning.The third part analysis deer modelling similar Kylin and double head deer image, demonstrate people has a good cultural implication in deer pattern of Han dynasty.The fourth part based on the previous sections of carding and analysis, to explore the confusion and problems met in the process of writing, this paper demonstrates some personal views to the deer portrait rock in Han dynasty.This article through the Han period of the social background, such as politics, economy, culture and the location and characteristics of Han deer design picture analysis, probe into its functional meaning, draw the conclusion: The Han deer portrait rock in Han period were affected by the three big cultural thoughts: The influence of learning about the Emperor Huang and Lao Tzuof Taoists, Confucian classics culture and folk prophetic-mixed divinity ideas, are the product of politics, economy, culture and customs in the period of two Han dynasties, it reflected outlook on life of the Han people about filial piety big and cosmology of people can through their own practice immortal by their own practice, which had a profound influence on Chinese culture art.
