Deer, as a main member of all the grassland-animals, has been used into making bronze wares by ancients. The pattern of manifestation in making this kind of bronze has become an independent school in animal-pattern bronze wares.Actually, for the ancients of the Eurasian Steppe, the way to describe deer is not only through bronze but many other ways. There is a kind of thing that called "deer-stone", which is discovered at about2000th-6th century BC. It looks like monuments and it is famous for its deer-pattern. Up to now, there are thousands of deer-stone have been discovered. To some extent, there are some similarities of the showing of deer-pattern in bronze wares and deer-stone. On one hand, both of them reflect the living condition and aesthetic consciousness of the ancients. On another hand, they both stand for a typical case of ancient-grassland art.
