With the social recognition and acceptance, the fact that university students fall in love has become common in the campus. The love experiences of university students are the guarantee of their later marriage and the foundation of their happiness. The romantic relationship of university students has gradually become the focus of their social communication.Studies have shown that the more satisfied with their relationship with each other, the higher sense of happiness they will have. So,more and more researchers start to pay attention to the romantic relationship between the couples, and attempt to explore the influence factors of romantic relationship satisfaction.Among the many factors, personality factor has received much attention from researchers. As a representative of the personality types theory,Carl Jung's theory of psychological type has been widely used in marriage counseling, career guidance and other fields since it was proposed. In the previous studies, there exists a dispute between the similar match and the complementary match. The researchers pay more attention to the type of individual preference, but they ignore the degree of preference. In addition, the measurement methods on relationship satisfaction in previous studies mainly adopted explicit measurement. With the development of social cognition, more and more researchers begin to study the implicit association test. This method is introduced to study the relationship satisfaction.Researchers believe that the result of employing explicit and implicit two methods is more comprehensive. Therefore, this study aims to research the influence of the different matches of the university couples' psychological types on the relationship satisfaction, and to further explore the role of psychological type preferences.By using two kinds of methods to measure the relationship satisfaction, the essay will explore the relationship between these two kinds of measurement results. The first study has investigated 179 university couples by the method of questionnaire. In order to discuss the influence of psychological type preferences of relationship satisfaction, the questionnaire analyzes university couples' gender differences on the various dimensions of psychological type and explores the influence of different matches of couples' psychological type on explicit relationship satisfaction. We got the following conclusions:(1)There is a significant difference between the gender and thinking-feeling dimension. The accounts of male who prefer thinking is more than female;(2)University couples' explicit relationship satisfaction is related to the matches of the extroversion-introversion dimensions and thinking-feeling dimensions of psychological types. In these two dimensions, the similar match get more satisfactions than complementary match.(3)When the match is complementary in these two dimensions, the individual whose psychological type preference is moderate will have a higher relationship satisfaction. The second study is conducted by dividing subjects of the first study into two parts as higher relationship satisfaction group and lower relationship satisfaction group, and it required the two groups respectively to complete single category implicit association test(SC-IAT).The study designs SC-IAT to explore implicit relationship satisfaction and examine the result of two different measurement. It researches the influence of different matches of couples' psychological type on implicit relationship satisfaction. We got the following conclusions:(1)The participants are quicker to associate "romantic relationship" with "positive words" compared to"romantic relationship" with "negative words".(2)Implicit relationship satisfaction and explicit relationship satisfaction are two distinct constructs.(3)University couples' implicit relationship satisfaction has no relation with the matches of the each dimensions of psychological types.
