Baojuan is an ancient folk arts of storytelling texts in religion and folk belief activities that in accordance with fixed story ritual procedure.Baojuan appeared,evolved and spread under the special folk culture background.Through 800-year-sustainable development,it reserves a large amount of Baojuan texts.This is not only priceless materials in studying topics of Chinese Folk Literature and folk beliefs,but also is a valuable classics in Chinese traditional culture.Mr.Che Xilun has emphasized in the preface of the fist version on?The catalogue of Chinese Baojuan?:Chinese Baojuan is a major folk literature that has not been fully exploed,settled and studied.It can not be denied that there is a huge gap between the important value and significance of Baojuan studying with its current situation.The paper mainly focus on Xiao Juan—that most of people paid less attention to it.By collecting and organizing many versions of Xiao Juan in Wu dialects,I mainly discuss the definitions,classifications,forms and values of Xiao Juan in Wu dialects and take?The name of flowers Bao Juan?as the object of study so that to describe its current situation and give some suggestions of it's transformation and development in new era.The main body of the article can be divided into the following three parts:Chapter one organizes the advent and development of Xiao Juan in Wu dialects,and classifies and interprets its different types.And on this basis,I compares the Xiao Juan in southern part to northern part and highlights the characters of Xiao Juan in Wu dialects.Chapter Two takes one of the popular Xiao Juan—?The name of flowers Bao Juan?as study objects and trace to its source and analysis the influence and why it is so popular throughout the world.Chapter three explores the Xiao Juan in Wu dialects from the two perspectives——the potentiation of Xiao Juan in Wu dialects to Baojuan and the value of Xiao Juan,investigating and discussing the current survival condition of Xiao Juan in Wu dialects and how to make transformation development under the new era background.By concluding and analysising many Xiao Juan texts in Wu dialects and puting?The name of flowers Bao Juan?as an individual case to study,the paper try to interpreate the definitions,characters and value of them.The paper,on the one hand,is to attract attention to educational circles about the exsistence of Xiao Juan in new era,on the other hand,is to let reader have a new recognition and judgement to the historical culture product and Chinese ancient culture in new era so as to promote the heritage and development of traditional culture.
