The eighteenth Party Congress made it clear thatpromoting the cultural development and prosperity is the theme of China’s cultural construction.As one of ethnic minorities with the least population in China,The Hezhen nationality has a very rich and valuable cultural resources,but under the impact of globalization,the culture has been experiencing the "break" and "imbalance".Media is the physical form and organization that carries and transmits information,and it is a bridge and link between the communicators and the recipients.Especially in the minority areas,themass media plays an increasingly important role in strengthening national unity, promoting multi-ethnic cultural prosperity and building a harmonious society.Whether it is from the view of protecting Hezhe traditional culture or developing Hezhe culture,the mass media has a direct impact on the ethnic customs, popular psychology and the habits of ethnic minorities in Hezhe area Tongjiang City of Heilongjiang province in the process of ethnic cultural changes.Therefore, the mass media must shoulder the important task of reconstructing the national culture, improving the national media culture,guaranteeing the national cultural security and strengthening the national identity consciousness.The purpose of this paper is to analyze the media contact situation of Hezhen settlement in Tongjiang city, and to grasp the characteristics of media use and the habits of the audience in the region, and to explore the causes of this situation.It is necessary to discusses the active significance in using various media resources of Hezhen,and propose on how to deepen the system reform and contribute to the mass media development of Hezhen area in the future.
