How Is Pioneer Spirit Possible?

The essay focus on the pioneer art.By a review on the cultural background and the development history of pioneer art,we try to observe the current situation of Chinese contemporary art.This essay consist of 4 parts.The 1st chapter try to make it clear about the origin of avant-garde,by means of an interpretation and comparison among such 3 concepts:modernity,modernism,and avant-garde.Chapter 2 try to demonstrate the breakdown of avant-garde in the contemporary art according to a criticism of post-modernism.Chapter 3 is a shift of focus on Chinese contemporary art.In this section,we try to demonstrate the vanguard character of'85 movement from a different perspective when we discuss the pioneer art in the west.And we make it on the basis of a historical judgement rather than an aesthetic judgement.And the last section,we emphasize on the significance of this research:according to a reference to the development history of pioneer art in the west,we have make it clearer of the development state of China,which deeply influence the progress of Chinese contemporary art.And finally we came to a conclusion that we should give priority to an enlightenment of the public in China,otherwise it is scarcely possible to develop valuable modern art.
