Analysis On The Significance That The Dominance Of Natural Lacquer Has On The Development Of Chinese Lacquer Painting

Chinese lacquer painting has made great development in recent years, and yet the material foundation on which a type of painting depends on has not been unified. The ongoing debate of the use of natural lacquer and synthetic lacquer still exist. The dominance of natural lacquer had not been put into practice. With the rising of market in lacquer painting, the merits of the materials will have a righteous judgment. However, it will have a significant impact on development of lacquer painting and its market if the suitable adjustment has not been made in time. This thesis simply analyzes the present situation of Chinese lacquer painting from a material perspective and lacquer painting collecting market, and thus highlights the importance of the stability of the natural lacquer. Based on this perspective, in order to have a better and faster development in Chinese lacquer painting, the unity of material should be imposed as soon as possible.
