A Brief Discussion On The Spirit Of Romanticism Realism In Feng Zikai's Drawing

It becomes an indicator directing to live a healthy lifestyle and a method releasing pressure rationally with the social responsibility of eliminating the false, the bad and the ugly and broadcasting the true, the good and the beautiful.Romantic Realism, the word comes out based on combinations of various current research and opinions on articles of Feng Zikai, mainly based on the reviews from "Remember My Old Friend Feng Zikai", an article written by Zhu Guangqian. He says:"His painting style is a perfect combination of romanticism and realism." Selecting the Chinese famous modern artist Feng Zikai as the research object, this paper lay out an argument on the base of his illustrated article "For My Children", and discusses the Romantic Realism which is embodied in his painting.This paper mainly discusses Romantic Realism which embodied in Feng Zikai's painting from three aspects. The first chapter combined with Feng Zikai's work makes a basic introduction of his artistic achievement and his artistic style in the view of romanticism and realism. The second chapter discusses the meaning of Romantic Realism, which is based on analyzing of his character and his development in art literarily in his illustrated article "For My Children", and making a brief analysis of artistic spirit which reflected in his paintings that selected from this article. The third chapter concludes his unique aesthetic characteristics from the influence of Feng Zikai's Romantic Realism, which will help us get better acquainted with his unique artistic spirit and social value from his works.
