The Study Of Chinese Commercial Narrative Comic In Digital Era

The animation industry is a kind of cultural and creative industry with intellectual property rights and high added value,in which creativity is as the core;virtual Cartoon image is as visual symbols;Digital,multimedia and other modern technologies are as the foundation.As a part of animation industry chain,comic runs through the entire animation industry chain.As a result of the culture industry adapting to modern society's entertainment and Commercial interests,now commercial narrative comic is one branch of narrative comic.In the digital age,the development of modern digital media forms blurs boundaries between commercial narrative comic creators and readers,changing readers' reading habits and affecting the development of comics.Commercial narrative comics' picture styles,creative skills and reading rhythm are all showing a new trend.Related literature,which talks about the digital media and comics,is almost in media and economic books.Many literatures focus on animation brand communication,animation products marketing and the animation industry chain.The research information about the technique of the comic storyboard in digital media is relatively little.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is about storyboard techniques and skills of the commercial narrative comic,in order to complement the shortage of current research.According to the characteristic of this article,qualitative research methods,including the literature method and multivariate method,are applied in the research process.Through observations and interviews of targets in the natural state,author uses descriptive language or other auxiliary ways to record and collect the related information,and then to explain the datum.There are six chapters in this paper.First,author starts from essential content to introduce the research background,purpose and significance,and then discusses the concept of Commercial narrative comic and the importance of storyboard in digital era and related theories about the storyboard of commercial narrative comic.Then,a discussion is made about the current situation and characteristics of the Commercial narrative comic in different countries.In this way,author makes an outline of some problems of commercial narrative comic storyboard in China.At the end of this article,solutions are tried to be found to solve referred problems and make a conclusion by further study of skills of commercial narrative comics' storyboard on digital media.In Mainland China,commercial narrative comics are relatively immature whether by print media or digital media.In digital media,there are two kinds of common commercial narrative comics.One is placed the paper-based published cartoons on the digital media platforms.The other one is by amateur comics' authors or comic fans upload works into digital media platform independently.For the reason that commercial comic narrative style of mainland China are influenced by that of Japean and South Korea,as a result,the painting style of mainland china is similar to them.The picture editing is also mainly dominated by Japanese and Korean style.The development of Chinese narrative comics' picture editing and typesetting on digital media follows the traditional Japanese comic picture rules,which emphasizes on the film storyboard techniques.But it still remains the Chinese reading habits,from left to right reading order.Through the study of commercial narrative comic,one of the most important links in the animation industry chain,this paper research focuses on the storyboard performance techniques specifically on digital media.It is possible to inspire commercial narrative comic creators.And it could have an important reference meaning to the development of animation industry in digital media.
