A Study Of Wei Yuankuang's Historiography

Wei Yuankuang,a famous historian is noted for his rich knowledge and writings in the adherents of Qing dynasty.In history field,WEI has specialized books in the county gazetteers and historical notes,such as The Nanchang County Gazetteer,Guangxuan Qianzai(????),The Ice Records,etc.But very few people have read them because WEI's conservative political stance.This study is based on the WEI's writings,discussing Wei Yuankuang's characteristics of historical research,historical achievement and influence,fill in the gap in the field,so as to enrich the overall understanding of the adherents at the Late Qing's historical concept for the academic circles.This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction reviews previous research.It points out that the majority of research is focus on Wei's biography and poetry lacks in his historical research.The first chapter describes Chen's biography and situations.The second chapter study on the WEI's county gazetteers.The third chapter study on the WEI's historical notes.
