There are a series of strategies in human mind, suitable for different situation.Strategy selection is to choose a good strategy form a series of strategy to solve the current problems in the process. This paper explores how the time pressure affect the the participants decision strategy selection in the task of multiple-cue probabilistic inferences.Based on previous studies, this study distinguishes two types of task scenarios, one is the cue value is bipolar(?+/-?)and the other is the multi-level(1-n).At the same time, the influence of time pressure on decision-making process is discussed by means of eye movement technique. In experiment 1,the task situation is based on the "+/-" as cue value, and the experiment is carried out with 55 subjects,single-factor experimental design(high / low time pressure). To explore the effect of time pressure on strategy selection. In experiment 2,the task situation is based on the "1-4" as cue value, and the experiment is carried out with 57 subjects,single-factor experimental design(high / low time pressure). To explore the effect of time pressure on strategy selection. In experiment 3,on the basis of experiment 2,the experiment was carried out with 60 subjects,single-factor experimental design(high / low time pressure). To explore the effect of time pressure on the decision-making process. After the analysis of results,we found that:(1)In the task situation where the clue value is "+/-",under the low time pressure, the majority of subjects used WADD strategy.Under the high time pressure, most subjects used EQW strategy or WADD strategy, time pressure does not lead to compensatory strategy to shift the noncompensatory strategy.(2)In the task situation where the clue value is "1-4",under the low time pressure, most subjects used the WADD strategy or EQW strategy.Under the high time pressure, most subjects used the TTB strategy. The time pressure led to the obvious strategy shift, from the compensatory strategy to the noncompetitive strategy shift.(3)Subjects in the information search process,in the attention of the cue value, fixation duration and the number of fixations under the low time pressure are significantly higher than those under the high time pressure, but the attention degree of the important information is basically the same at the high and low time pressure. The above results show that people choose different strategies to rely on decision-making context, the cognitive process is dependent on environmental characteristics.
