The ancient Persia embraces three centers of civilization, which have exerted profound influence on the later generations. As a whole, the achievement acquired in Persian miniature painting is unprecedented. In terms of the time and location, it was generated in the central area of the remarkable achievement in Eurasian culture. In the Middle Ages, miniature painting, as an artistic form, was already quite commonplace in many countries and regions in Europe. The adequately ornamental works, which were equipped with lucid and lively lines, and gorgeous colors, were considered as a miracle created through the integration of human beings' sufficient imagination and perfect painting skills. An attempt is made to explore the style and characteristics of Persian miniature paintings in this paper, with the hope that the modern society could experience the charm of this exotic type of painting. Meanwhile, a new prospect is provided through the integration with the graduation works. |
