Study On The Patterns Of Miao Nationality Barbolas In The Southeast Of Guizhou Province And Its Design Innovation

Miao Nationality barbola is one unique craft in the Southeast area of Guizhou Province,and its distribution is relatively concentrated with relatively complex craft. Such craft exerts the geometrical elements in Miao Nationality patterns to acme, and carries forward the long-lasting historical cultures and ethnic aesthetics of Miao Nationality. This paper mainly studies from the craft and patterns of barbola and conducts design innovation basing on theoretical research.Starting from the study on the distribution of barbolas in the Southeast area of Guizhou Province, it closely studied its formation cause and application and characteristics in Miao costumes in such area. Secondly, it studied the uniqueness and pattern diversity of barbola craft from its unique craft process, diversified piling mode, pattern composing characteristics and composing form. Basing on theoretical research on Miao Nationality barbolas, the final part of this paper conducted practical exploration on its innovative application on garment accessories from costume modeling structure, color, pattern ornaments, lining and craft.
