The paper mainly researched basic aspects of thematic museum,focusing on visual promotion design.It interpreted the design concept,design philosophy and design aspects of thematic museum with case studies and its demonstration and conclusion derived at last.The first chapter,belong to the basic introduction of research itself,mainly discussed research background,purpose,significance,methods and present situation.The second chapter analyzed the thematic museum's concept and its current situation.It presented the basic concept of thematic museum and then analyzed its characteristics.It clearly stated the crsis problem caused by the lack of thematic museum's role played for the public life.Thus,it stated the importance of the research.The third chapter analyzed the thematic museum's visual promotion design through its design idea and method.On the one hand,four points were pointed out as: emphasis on Social Service,User Experience,Visual Identity and Systematic Design.On the other hand,museum's visual promotion design of basic skill of the subject matter were discussed in this paper.The analysis put forward three basic methods,namely the brand image communication effect of SWOT and PEST analysis,quantitative analysis of information feedback.These three points are in comprehensive analysis of the corporate image promotion.And they could relatively be useful for thematic museum's image design.As companies in terms of image promotion are more mature,therefore it could be a good reference for thematic museum.The fourth chapter presented basic aspects of thematic museum image design.Chapter three relatively were macroscopic,whereas,this section is more specific and in-depth analysis of the related problems.Research from five aspects of the subject matter of the museum's image problem is analyzed,namely external image design,interior space image design,staff image design,public opinion image design.The fifth chapter combines two case studies with more practical analysis and demonstration.These cases are more successful in terms of image promotion design for thematic museums.Based on the third chapter and the fourth chapter,the research was further deepened.
