The development of junior middle school students mental health is always the focus of the concern of the whole society. They not only to complete the heavy learning tasks, but also to bear the physical and mental development of puberty brought about by the rapid changes in the physiological and psychological in this period. If not to adapt to the physical, anxious and mental development in time, they are extremely susceptible to depression and other mental disorders. In order to explore the influencing factors and mediating effect of depression of junior middle school students, and provide the basis of a more scientific and effective prevention and intervention. In this paper, by reviewing of the concepts, measurement tools and development of neuroticism, depression, gratitude and resilience, using the "Big Five Personality questionnaire-neurotic (NEO-FFI)", " Center for Epidemiological Survey, Depression Scale (CES-D)", " Gratitude Questionnaire for Junior Middle School Students " (GQ-JMSS) and " the Resilience Scale Chinese Adolescent (RSCA)" as measuring tools to investigate the basic situation of 402 junior high school students. Using SPSS 18.0 for reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, difference test and correlation analysis. Using AMOS 17.0 to construct the model of depression by the effect of neurotic with the mediating effect influence of gratitude and resilience, and Mplus7.0 was used to examine the mediating effect of gratitude and resilience in the relationship between neurotic and depression. The results of study are as follows:(1) In this paper, the " Big Five Personality questionnaire (NEO-FFI)", " Center for Epidemiological Survey, Depression Scale (CES-D)", "Junior Middle School Students Gratitude questionnaire" and " the Resilience Scale Chinese Adolescent (RSCA) "has good reliability and validity, and it can be used as a measuring tool for junior middle school students.(2) The gender difference was significant of neuroticism and depression is that the level of the female students was significantly higher than that of the male students.(3) Neuroticism, gratitude, resilience and depression exist significant differences between only child and no only child. The only child in gratitude and resilience score was significantly higher than no only child. In terms of the score of neuroticism and depression, the only child score was significantly higher than no only child.(4) There are significant differences of the students which from urban and rural.The scores of junior high school students in the city of gratitude and nervousness are higher than those in rural junior high school students.(5) Gratitude was significantly positively correlated with resilience; Gratitude, resilience and neuroticism were significantly negatively correlated; Gratitude, resilience and depression were significantly negatively correlated; Neuroticism was positively associated with depression.(6) Gratitude has a significant mediating effect on the neurotic and depression; Resilience is significant for the neuroticism and depression mediated effects; Gratitude and resilience play an role of parallel mediating effect in the nervous and depression.For this, when does the author accord to the perspective of positive psychology put forward as follows to suggest. From the perspective of gratitude:(1) Help junior middle school students to form a correct awareness of gratitude (2) Strengthen positive emotion of gratitude in junior middle school students(3) Appropriate to promote the act of gratitude. From the perspective of resilience:(1) Continuous improvement of junior high school students' own personality to improve the level of resilience (2) Focusing on the relationship between parents and children is an important source of Improving Junior High School Students' resilience and reducing the influence of neurotic on depression. (3) A good school relationship is an important guarantee for the construction of junior high school students' resilience to reduce the influence of neuroticism on depression.
