Artistic Features And Performance Glamour Of Chunqiu,a Pipa Concerto

Chunqiu,a Pipa concerto composed by Mr. Tang Jianping in honor of Confucius’s birth, is one of the most representative contemporary Pipa concertos. This thesis is endeavoring to analyze the artistic feature of this concerto from such aspects as its creative background, the core motive of the musical composition, the creative feature of a combination of Eastern and Western style and aesthetic conception that nihility and existence grow out of one another, and to interpret the performance glamour of this concerto from three aspects, namely, holistic grasp of performance, performance techniques for the left and right hand and performance processing in coordination with bands.
